Today we had Tamarillo juice, which is a small succulent egg shaped fruit that has slightly sweet to subacid flavour
The weather was fair today and we headed to El Truinfo. Along the way, we stopped by a Pitahaya plantation. This fruit belongs to the dragon-fruit family and is yellow colour.

...and also seen many of the Guayaba trees along the way.
Upon reaching our destination, we were greeted by breathtaking views,
with the steep slope forest trail extending right to the edge of our
sight.
We conveniently saw a Guayaba tree at the site and could not resist plucking one to eat!

After concluding our activities for the day, the rain began to fall just in time, prompting us to head to Puyo for an early dinner. Before heading to the restaurant, we decided to explore a local market to indulge in some exotic fruits on display. However, one specific item immediately captured our attention—the Palm Weewil. The locals have a preference for preparing them either deep-fried or consuming them in their raw state.
Bananas are ubiquitous in Ecuador, considering the country is the largest exporter of this tropical fruit.
Tapioca is widely consumed by the locals.
Fresh Palmito
Our final meal in Puyo marked the conclusion of our butterfly hunting
adventure, and we are now gearing up to head to Quito for some
sightseeing tomorrow.
