Day 9-Papango River (Mera)

Our breakfast for this morning was the Bolon, a typical Ecuadorian breakfast made of chopped , fried and mashed green plaintain with cheese.

2 different types of juices, namely the taxo juice and wabawana (sour sop)

Today, we headed off to Mera, Olie's homebase, but it rained again today.  We checked out and made our way there, but stop at this interesting looking cafeteria and bought some coffee beans and chocolate.

A variety of coffee chocolates, apparently the wild coffee beans is the best!
Coffee is freshed packed and processed at the restaurant

Some breathtaking views on the way to Mera

Butterfly location stop and some of the butterfly highlights

Had dinner at Carval Food, Tena, one of Olie's friend who owns the restaurant.

Arrived at Olie's Lodge.  Nice place with a butterfly house overlooking our room.
